D is for (Special) Delivery...

Part of our home(made) school curriculum includes participating in the Meals on Wheels program 2-3 days a week. Picture-wise, it looks pretty much like us riding around South Baltimore in our van (which smells like the tasty meal o' the day), but it is a cool experience where we get to visit with a wide range of people of different ages and abilities who live around the city and need and appreciate a hot meal (and a cold one too--they get one of each everyday). Our favorite person is Frank, the South Site coordinator for Meals on Wheels, a very cool and down to earth guy who helps keep the MOW ship afloat. Besides SoBo and the Federal Hill area, we travel through Pigtown, Locust Point and a few other areas. (Route 4 [and sometimes 2] represent!)

Here is Izaia at a fountain outside a nursing home we deliver to...

In other home(made) school news...

Indy rockin' his new 'hawk.

Take care out there!

Love,
Big Daddy
